What are Home Based Services?
Home based services refer to speech and language services that are provided in the client’s home. This allows for one-on-one interaction in an environment where the client is most comfortable. Therapy in the home can additionally include family members and caregivers to ensure stronger carryover and increased functionality. Conversations Together currently provides home based services in the Upper West Side of New York City.
What are School Based Services?
School based services refer to speech and language services that are provided in the student's school. This allows for functional pull-out or push-in support along with carryover of goals into the classroom. Therapy in the school can additionally include targeting social pragmatic language with peers or working with teachers to introduce and incorporate individualized learning/communication strategies. Potential eligible schools include: Private schools, Charter schools, Preschools, Summer camps, Day cares, and so on. The School's permission is required before the initiation of speech therapy services. Conversations Together currently provides school-based services on the Upper West Side of New York City.
What is Teletherapy?
Teletherapy refers to speech and language services provided using an online video conferencing platflorm [ZOOM]. Teletherapy sessions can provide the same benefits of in person therapy but with the added convenience of being at home. It can additionally be great for those who travel often, as all you need is a laptop and reliable internet connection! Conversations Together currently provides teletherapy services to individuals residing in New York and Connecticut.
Do you accept insurance?
Conversations Together does not accept insurance. We are an out-of-network provider. However, we are
happy to provide you with invoices and super-bills upon request. Depending on your insurance plan, you may have out-of-network benefits that reimburse you for some or all of the cost of sessions.
Some insurances will provide a limited amount of session after meeting a deductible. Other insurances will cover 70%-80% of the cost. It is recommend that you contact your insurance provider before scheduling an appointment to learn more about your out-of-network speech and language reimbursement options.
Many families who have the following plans take advantage of their out-of-network benefits: Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Empire Blue Cross, Oxford, Aetna, United, Emblem Health, and Multi Plan.
